About Us:

The Canterbury Oast Trust (COT) is a dynamic and forward-thinking charitable trust set up in the mid-1980s by a pioneering group of parents. Today we support adults with learning disabilities across Kent and East Sussex to live independently and take control of their lives.

About the Role:

We are looking to recruit a Care Office Manager to manage central operations for the Trust's Care Services ensuring that support for our care team is efficient and that processes are effective and compliant. As Care Office Manager you will also oversee the Trust's bank of Flexi (Casual) workers within our Care (Residential & Community) and Life Skills service as well as Peripatetic Support Workers.

Care Office Manager duties will include:

  • Managing and motivating team members providing direction and leadership
  • Direct and oversee the work of our Care Administration Assistant
  • Manage the administration of Local Authority contracts; Care Quality Commission registrations/applications; COT Care Policies
  • Formulate annual meeting schedule for Care operations; prepare and distribute meeting documentation; minute the meeting
  • Act as first point of call for all new client enquiries
  • Provide Personal Assistant support to the Head of Care
  • Event manage Care Open Days
  • Coordinate the Trust's Care and Life Skills Flexi Bank and team of Peripatetic Support Workers
  • Compilation of the monthly rota.

About You:

As Care Office Manager you will need:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a busy office environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Experience in handling data, numbers and reporting in detail
  • Ability to work to deadlines, working alone and as part of a team
  • Strong IT skills and good working knowledge if MS Office and Excel packages
  • Experience of HR processes including recruitment and selection procedures.
  • Ability to build good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
