We are looking for a Chef de Partie, with experience of creating simple Italian classics to work at Petersham Nurseries Café in Richmond.

This is a charmingly casual yet sophisticated restaurant, set within one of our glasshouses. Respecting the Slow Food philosophy, we serve seasonal, Italian inspired food. Our customers enjoy a simple, elegant experience in a location that never fails to captivate and enchant.

Chef De Partie

Bringing a passion for produce-led cooking, you will be a vital part of the team. You will be performing a variety of tasks involving food preparation and organisation to support the kitchen and allow you to develop your skills as a chef.

The role of Chef de Partie includes, but is not limited to:

  • Being part of a kitchen that is creative, nurturing and positive, promoting learning and a passion for food and produce.
  • Developing your culinary skills through growing your knowledge of food and ingredients.
  • Learning set recipes and ensuring all menu items are made to specification, meeting our high standard of quality and presentation.
  • Communicating with other members of the kitchen staff, taking on board regular feedback and instruction.
  • Ensuring that Health & Safety and Food Safety standards are adhered to and recommendations from Food Safety Audits carried out.
  • Assisting with all administration for the kitchen, ensuring that it is completed according to all deadlines, including food hygiene records, stocktakes, wastage sheets and cleanliness records.
  • Contributing to and working effectively as part of a team.
