One Ashford Hospital, Kent has a vacancy for an experienced Theatre Support Worker to join the team.

Theatre Support Worker

One Ashford are looking for enthusiastic, patient focused Theatre Support Workers who are passionate about their role and want to join a dynamic theatre team. We are looking for experienced team players who want to work in a state of the art facility that prides itself on customer care and satisfaction.

Reporting to the Theatre Manager, the successful Theatre Support Worker will assist the qualified practitioners to care for patients within the Theatre department, providing perioperative care for surgical, investigative or minor invasive procedures in line with national best practice standards. The role will involve collecting and escorting patients; completing patient safety checklists; acting as a circulator during surgery; cleaning down theatres; assisting recovery practitioners, acting as a chaperone; performing duties in decontamination; and other ancillary duties as required.


  • Minimum G.C.S.E. education or equivalent
  • NVQ or equivalent
  • National Care Certificate


  • Ability to learn and develop and undertake appropriate NVQ or equivalent training
  • Some health care experience in hospital environment
  • Previous experience in Theatres essential
