Housing Support Worker (evenings)

The Scheme has a vacancy for a Housing Support Worker on the 5pm - 9pm shift, who will be responsible for the delivery of the Wellbeing Service (24 hour emergency response service) during their contracted hours and the evening events and activities programme.

The post holders principal responsibilities include responding to emergency calls from tenants and leaseholders, contributing to the programme of evening activities, supporting individual tenants and leaseholders to sustain their tenancies/leases and ensuring the scheme is safe.

  • Housing (or similar) experience in the voluntary, public or private sectors
  • Strong commitment to non-discriminatory housing services and to providing excellence

  • Honesty, trustworthiness, reliability and respectfulness.
  • An understanding of Health & Safety
  • Good IT skills, so they can facilitate and support improvements to services, good communications and useful Management Information

  • Understanding of different values / cultures of residents and staff
  • Team working skills
  • Good timekeeping skills
  • Professionalism

The ideal Housing Support Worker will have the ability to:

Rapport Housing & Care offers Supported, Residential and Nursing Care to older people with physical frailty and Dementia across Kent.
