Senior Health Care Assistant

What we are looking for:

We are a family run business eager to employ caring Senior Health Care Assistants, who are self-motivated, organised, flexible, and sensitive to the needs of the elderly and others, to be an active team player and a good communicator, but also be able to work as an individual.

About our homes: Grosvenor Court sits on the is our biggest home catering to 62 residents with various mental health issues.

Our sister home the Willows is our lovely home that sits on the coast of Cliftonville and caters to 39 residents with dementia.

The Senior Health Care Assistant post provides a pivotal role to the successful day to day management and care delivery within the residential care homes. It provides clear, effective and dynamic practice leadership to support the highest standards of performance, enabling everyone to have a vibrant and fulfilling life.

As well as providing care, the post holder will co-ordinate and supervise the work of a team. Each team provides an extensive range of personal and social care services to the home's residents. This is supported by the principles of Premiere Care Homes philosophy of care.

As Senior Health Care Assistant you will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of person centred care is delivered. Ensuring that individuals choices and preferences are respected at all times.

Senior Health Care Assistant duties:

  • Safe Management and Administration of Medication
  • Provides a pivotal role to the successful day to day management and care delivery
  • Provides clear, effective and dynamic practice leadership to support highest standards of care and enablement to residents
  • Co-ordinate and Supervise the work team of Health Care Assistants
  • Communicate effectively with outside professionals and residents families
  • Must have NVQ Level 2 and working towards NVQ Level 3 or willing to enrol and experience administering medication.
  • Previous experience in supervisory role or as a Care Assistant
