A growing Kent based IT company is looking for an IT Support Technician to expand its support team.

In this IT Support Technician, you'll be joining a highly skilled team of individuals. Refreshingly, the team pride themselves on their human approach to support, service requests, IT consultation and installation services.

This company is looking for a highly capable IT Support Technician with previous experience, predominantly supporting in a Windows environment. Experience of virtualization, IT Security and other operating systems would be useful.

What you'll be doing:

• Providing technical support and help to customers.
• Focusing on Windows Desktop, Windows Servers, Microsoft Cloud technologies and network fundamentals.
• Managing IT incident and service request via telephone, remotely and on-site.
• Building rapport with users.
• Gaining understanding individual customers requirements , issues and problems.
• Adding to the Knowledge Base by ensuring that procedures working practices and technical solutions are accurately documented.
• When required, assist the team with IT Projects.
• You'll also be encouraged to grow and enhance your professional knowledge.

Skills & Experience required for the ideal IT Support Technician:

• Ideally you'll come with 2 years experience in a similar technical support role
• You'll have recent experience working with Windows Servers, Windows Desktop, Microsoft Cloud technologies and network fundamentals.
• You'll have good customer focused communication skills.
• Be able to take control of customer issues and ensure that resolutions are agreed and actioned.
• You'll be a team player who can also work on your own initiative.
• You'll be happy to occasionally work on customer sites as well as via telephone or remotely.
• If you have skills with Mac OS, Linux, VMWare, ITIL and IT Security this would be very useful.
• You'll be educated to a good level in computer related fields, such as - Microsoft MCP, CompTIA A+, Cisco CCNA or offer a wealth of relevant experience.
• You'll need to have a full UK Driving License

Remuneration

• £18K to £25K per annum basic pay according to experience levels
• 28 Days Holiday per year running April March.
