Due to continued growth a highly successful ERP Software vendor is looking for an Implementation Consultant to join its team. In this role you'll take responsibility for the smooth implementation of software solutions to a diverse range of customers.

As an Implementation Consultant, you'll lead the implementation project team for your clients through the whole project. Taking responsibility from the discovery and scoping, set up requirements through customisation, training and the go live process.

Experienced Implementation Consultants will understand that you'll spend a good deal of your time at customer sites throughout the UK.

Main Implementation Consultant responsibilities:

• Working with the pre-sales team undertaking product demonstrations. Acting as the SME for accounting and trading modules of the software.
• Undertaking full scoping responsibilities to understand what the customer is looking to achieve and help to define specifications and what modifications may be needed.
• Working with the development teams, defining client specific product requirements and modifications ensuing these undergo robust testing prior to release and are fully documented.
• Attending project meetings internally or with clients, regarding current status of projects.
• Carrying out training for the customers project team and users. Providing knowledge transfer in the operation of modified software - Training is carried out either at the customer site or at the training academy based at UK Head Office.
• Ensuring that pre go-live checks are completed both internally and with the customer.
• Providing a comprehensive hand-over to the support function and where required, train colleagues in the operation of modified software.
• Ensuing that; on an on-going basis, relevant project management and customer documentation is completed for each implementation.
• Assisting with support issues post go-live and beyond.
• You'll be working with customers differing in size from SMEs up, with implementation cycles ranging between 6 months to 2 years.

Knowledge and Experience for the ideal Implementation Consultant:

• Demonstrable experience relating to configuration, installation and implementation of software Go Lives.
• Experience providing formal software product training to customers.
• Sound working knowledge of business account practices, including day to day transactions, month end, year end and audit activities.
• A good understanding of company trading principals applied in the distribution / supply chain logistics world.
• You'll have implementation experience gained with ERP software, or robust experience working as a consultant for another complex software solution. This company will also consider someone who has worked in the distribution sector as a senior ERP user.
• Confident presentation skills.
• A recognised accountancy qualification such as AAT would be an advantage, but is not essential.
• Agile project management experience, ideally with a recognised qualification.
• Whilst not essential, knowledge of relational database management systems (RDMS), ideally SQL Server would give you a distinct advantage.
