Be a Learning and Outreach Manager who can make a genuine difference in the learning and social development of young adults with special education needs. Join us to lead a team of staff to continue to deliver excellent services in a location in Wembley, North West London.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead and motivate your team of 10 to 12 staff to deliver unparalleled levels of service to clients ranging from 18 years old to middle age. Each of our clients has challenging needs and helping them is one of the most rewarding career choices one can make.

Abilities Development Ltd is a private company founded in 2011 by a former qualified special needs teacher. The company has grown from strength to strength and offers specialised services to individuals with learning disabilities. One of objectives is to provide solutions to young people with disabilities so that they can access opportunities and enhance their lifestyle within the home, during school and beyond school.

Requirements

What our Learning and Outreach Manager will be doing for our Clients:

Taking an analytical and practical approach to all aspects of planning, designing, delivering and assessing inclusive teaching and learning.

Being responsible for the education programmes for our young adults with additional learning difficulties and / or disabilities and complex needs within the setting. Examples of duties undertaken will include initial and ongoing assessments, development of learning objectives within an individual learning plan framework, co-planning with clients, curriculum development, teaching delivery, assessment of progress, report writing and transition planning for next steps.

Ensure that high standards of customer service are maintained at all times and that clients are enabled to identify their goals, undertake appropriate learning opportunities and progress towards their next steps.

Create opportunities for clients voices to be heard and use this information to drive improvements in your designated area/s.

What our Learning and Outreach Manager will be doing for the team:

- Lead and manage Abilities Learning and Skills Service and a staff group to maximise performance, deliver excellent provisions and exceed the expectations of partners and clients in line with the company ethos of 'Realising abilities beyond disabilities'

- Managing and motivating your team to deliver unparalleled levels of service to each and every client.

- Designing and implementing a service road-map to ensure constant improvements to each of our service packages.

- Taking full responsibility for recruitment and performance management. Equipping your team with new internal and external training options so that they can excel in all aspects of their duties

Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in the role of Learning and Outreach Manager, you will require:

Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written

Strong presentation skills

Excellent teaming and leadership qualities

A teaching degree

Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience

Experience in delivering services to adults with additional learning difficulties and / or disabilities and complex needs
