Abilities Development Ltd is a private organisation founded in 2011 by a former qualified special needs teacher. The company has grown from strength to strength and offers specialised services to individuals with learning disabilities. One of objectives is to provide solutions to young people with disabilities so that they can access opportunities and enhance their lifestyle within the home, during school and beyond school.

PURPOSE OF JOB:

To take care of our facilities and carry out cleaning duties. The goal is to keep our building in a clean and orderly condition.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Clean, stock and supply designated premises areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc)

2. Vacuuming carpeted areas and washing floors

3. Sweeping uncarpeted areas

4. Emptying and cleaning bins

5. Spot cleaning of spillages

6. Cleaning desks, seats and skirting boards

7. Cleaning toilet areas and replenishing toiletries

8. Cleaning doors, door handles and windows

9. Checking stock levels of cleaning materials

10. Reporting all defects/hazards immediately to the caretaker or supervisor

11. Performing and documenting routine inspection

12. Checking and closing windows, switching off lights after work;

13. Operate cleaning machinery in cleaning soft and hard surfaces e.g. vacuum cleaners and polishers.

14. Wiping furniture, ledges, pipes, paintwork, doors and polishing door glass

15. To carry out all duties with regard to the provisions of health and safety legislation, Data protection legislation and the Company's Equal Opportunities and Customer Care Policies.
