Strode Park House is a 19th Century Victorian Manor House set in 14 acres of beautiful grounds in the picturesque village of Herne, Kent. We are a nursing and residential home offering both long and short-term care for adults aged 18 and upwards.

As a Catering Assistant Apprentice at Strode Park House, your main duties will be to assist the Cooks in preparing high quality and nutritious meals on a daily basis. You will ensure full compliance with all food hygiene regulations and our policies so that all food is safely produced and stored plus our residents choices are met. Other responsibilities will include washing up, cleaning food preparation areas and equipment in an efficient manner and ensuring there is high standard of cleanliness within the kitchen and dining room areas within the home at all times.

You'll need the following skills and qualities:

  • General kitchen experience gained through work or be willing and able to undertake appropriate training.
  • Have the drive and ability to meet the demands of the qualification requirements.
  • Have a supportive and caring attitude with a flexible approach.
  • Be honest, reliable and approachable.
