Strode Park House is a 19th Century Victorian Manor House set in 14 acres of beautiful grounds in the picturesque village of Herne, Kent. We are a nursing and residential home offering both long and short-term care for adults aged 18 and upwards.

As a Registered Nurse at Strode Park you will be responsible for supporting the Home Manager in ensuring that the residents nursing needs are met at all time with high quality. You will be able to offer a person centered approach to independence, well being and choice to our residents whilst having the ability to work well under pressure, problem solve and communicate effectively.

You'll need the following skills and qualities:

  • Be a Registered Nurse.
  • Valid NMC pin.
  • Have a strong interest in working in Adult care services and a desire to make a difference.
  • Be kind, courteous and reliable.
  • Commitment to respecting the rights of residents at all times and to promoting their privacy, dignity and independence throughout their lives.
  • Caring and compassionate towards people in need of care and support.
  • Experience of medication management.
  • Understanding of MCA and DOLS.
  • Understanding of Safeguarding Processes.

Our home provides care on a 24 hour basis, 7 days a week including weekends and bank holidays. This means we need reliable and flexible staff working within our service.

The shift patterns are:

  • Morning is 7am - 1:30pm
  • Afternoon is 1:30pm - 8pm
  • Long day is 7am - 8pm
  • And night is 8pm - 7:15am which you will be expected to work occasionally to cover sickness and annual leave however this will be alternated between all staff.
