Redwalls is a small and friendly residential care home based in Fordwich, Canterbury and cares for up to six young adults with physical and mild learning disabilities.

As a Care and Support Worker at Redwalls, you will be responsible for providing and participating in physical care and social support to all young adults and children using our services. You will also assist in escorting or driving the young adults and children to appointments and activities ensuring the objectives of the outing are fulfilled and are of a benefit to the individual. You will be supported by our dedicated care team within the home. No previous experience necessary as full training will be provided.

You will need the following skills and qualities:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social care or a willingness to work towards this within 12 months of being in the post.
  • A willingness to be medication trained.
  • A willingness to work nights when required.
  • Be reliable, honest and trustworthy.
  • Able to clearly to communicate with the guests and visitors.
  • Be enthusiastic, caring, friendly and compassionate.
  • A clean driving licence and own vehicle due to location is preferred.
