Casual Receptionist

Do you love meeting people and delivering exceptional service? We're looking for a friendly, professional Casual Receptionist to be the welcoming face of Canterbury Cathedral Lodge for a fixed-term period of maternity cover.

About the role:

This is a flexible, casual position perfect if you're looking for variety. You'll play a key role in creating a warm, hotel-style experience for every guest.

What you'll be doing as a Casual Receptionist

• Welcoming guests and delivering first-class customer service
• Handling reservations, enquiries, and guest check-ins
• Managing billing, payments, and daily cashing up
• Operating the switchboard and coordinating with departments
• Supporting guests with information, luggage, and room access
• Occasionally helping out with events and other departments

What were looking for in a Casual Receptionist:

• Experience in a reception or customer-facing role
• Strong admin and IT skills (Outlook, Word, etc.)
• Excellent communication and people skills
• A flexible, reliable team player who can work evenings/weekends
• A polished, professional, and welcoming approach
